Local broadband continues to grow

[Published in the Bedford Gazette on Feb. 29th, 2024] Internet provider Crowsnest Broadband recently used a farmer’s silo as a repeater tower to help connect approximately 60 homes to broadband access. Crowsnest founder and CEO Dwayne Zimmerman said the farmer rented the space to the company to allow for the accessibility. Zimmerman noted that similar projects around the county are planned.
